Prep Baseball: Jays roll past Lebanon

LEBANON, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays left the yard four times Tuesday in their 17-4 win in six innings against Lebanon.

Gaven Strobel and Grant Wood each had two-run home runs, while Brandon Williams and Kade Franks each hit solo shots.

The Jays trailed 4-2 after two innings before scoring four in the third, five in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Nine Jays had a hit, led by Strobel with four of the team's 15 hits. He had three RBI.

Wood went 3-for-4 with four RBI, while Franks, Williams and Hayden Hirschvogel each recorded two RBI.

Williams earned the win on the mound, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks in four innings. Joseph Travis struck out two and gave up two hits in two scoreless innings of relief.

Jefferson City (19-2) plays Saturday against Camdenton and Smith-Cotton at Sedalia.

Jefferson City won the JV game 6-4.

Jack Shinkle drove in two runs, while Mason Hansen, Justin Wood and Nolan Binkley each had an RBI.

Blake Terry was the winning pitcher.
