Prep Track: Eldon wins home meet

ELDON, Mo. - The Eldon girls track and field team finished first and the boys placed second in the Eldon Relays on Thursday.

Centralia was the top team on the boys side with School of the Osage taking third.

Blair Oaks ended up fifth out of 11 teams on the girls side, led by the 4x200-meter relay team of Sarah Ferrell, Olivia Sieg, Jessie Holstein and Kayla Jones. They took second in 1:52.84.

The Lady Falcons also got top-five finishes from the 4x100 and 4x400 teams.

Ferrell, Sieg, Alexa Stegemann and Holstein were third in the 4x100 with a time of 53.66 seconds. Rachel Isenberg, Taylor Scott, Chloe Cox and Emily Yaeger took fourth in the 4x400 in 4:20.60.

Scott, Yaeger, Rebecca Schroeder and Cassie Twehus all had fourth-place finishes.

Yaeger ran the 800-meter run in 2:27.56, while Scott finished the 1,600-meter run in 5:45.21.

Schroeder recorded a time of 18.04 in the 100-meter hurdles. Twehus had a throw of 35 feet, six inches in the shot put.

In the discus, Annette Peterson placed third with a toss of 104-10.

Baylee Bellin added to the top-five finishes in throwing events, placing fifth in the javelin with a throw of 93-2. Schroeder was sixth with a toss of 87-5.

Chloe Cox was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles in 52.59 seconds.

The Blair Oaks boys team picked up two wins. The 4x800 team of Ben Forck, Adam McCauley, Justin Cobb and Cole Brenneke won in 8:48.

Kaleb Cox was victorious in the discus with a throw of 156-4.

Forck was runner-up in the 800-meter run in 2:06.

Brenneke was also a third-place finisher in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:41.

Josh Henson and Chase Forck each had a fourth-place finish. Chase Forck leaped 37-5 in the triple jump, while Henson had a throw of 130-9 in the javelin.

In the pole vault, Trinity Scott cleared 10 feet to place fifth. He also finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles in 19.42 seconds.

Blair Oaks' next meet is next Friday at Owensville.
