COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays finished sixth in the Hickman Kewpie Classic after going 1-2 on Saturday.
The Lady Jays lost 1-0 to Blair Oaks in the first round of bracket play. They beat Hickman 3-1 and lost 5-4 to Rock Bridge in the fifth-place game.
Jefferson City scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning against Hickman to break a tie at 1.
Gabi McGinty had two RBI for the Lady Jays.
Megan Green pitched 61/3 innings with three strikeouts before Mychael Jett finished the game.
Green pitched five innings in the loss against Rock Bridge, allowing five runs and striking out three.
Jefferson City (9-9) plays Monday at Sedalia Smith-Cotton.
