Russellville wins cross country title at Hancock Invitational

ST. LOUIS - The Russellville Indians took team honors in the boys Class 1-2 division Saturday at the Hancock Invitational.

Russellville finished with 88 points to top 15 other teams. Jefferson was second with 112, while New Haven was third with 129.

Anthony Bertucci paced Russellville by taking sixth in 18:35.90, while Harrison Frank was 10th (18:48.70) and Austin Roe was 13th (18:50.50). Beau Bryant was 29th for the Indians (19:47.60), while Kyle Brautigam was 40th (20:21.00) and Austin Randolph was 42nd (20:24.60).

Simon Gelber of Winfield was the individual champ in 17:27.40.

The Russellville Lady Indians had four runners Saturday.

Sydney Robertson led by taking 27th in 26:26.40. Chyan Wilkes was 30th (27:04.40), while Jayla Volkart was 44th (29:51.00) and Addie Kirchner was 47th (30:19.10).
