WESTPHALIA - The Fatima Comets won their seventh straight district title after beating Springfield Catholic 4-3 in double overtime in the Class 2 District 11 title game Friday.
Springfield Catholic had a 2-0 start to the game, but two goals each by Chad Angerer and Trey Herzing helped secure the comeback win. Josh Kunkleman had 18 saves as keeper.
"It was a tough one," Fatima coach Kirby Keth said, "we knew we were going to have our hands full."
Fatima plays Monett on Tuesday in a Class 2 sectional match.
