SPRINGFIELD - The Jefferson City Lady Jays ended their season Friday during the Class 2 doubles tournament at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
The pairing of Erica Dunn and Kirsten Schwandtner lost their first-round match 8-4 against Elena Wilner and Rebecca Davis of Parkway Central. Dunn and Schwandtner were then eliminated in the consolation first round, losing 6-1, 6-1 to Eleanor Fay and Corinne Farid of Rock Bridge.
Susan Meyer and Bailey Patrick were the other doubles team competing for the Lady Jays. They lost their first-round match 8-5 against Parnate Wongsirisakui and Eva Stanglein of Fort Zumwalt East.
Meyer and Patrick then lost to Kelen Caskey and Pranathi Gannavaram of Lee's Summit West 6-1, 6-1 in the consolation first round, ending their season.
