A quartet of Vienna Lady Eagles and one player each from Blair Oaks, Linn, New Bloomfield and School of the Osage have been selected all-state by the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association.
In Class 2, Blair Oaks junior Sydney Wilde was a first-team selection as an infielder after leading the Lady Falcons to a second-place finish in the state tournament.
On the Class 2 all-state second team, New Bloomfield sophomore pitcher Kaylee Beck was honored, as was Linn senior Hayley Dorton, who made the team as an infielder.
School of the Osage sophomore Kerrigan Gamm was selected to the Class 3 all-state first team as an infielder.
Courtney Falter was a first-team selection as an infielder in Class 1 and Kara Harker made the first team as an outfielder for Vienna. Both players are juniors.
Vienna also had a duo of second-team selections. Sophomore Jordyn Steffen made the team as a pitcher and junior Taylour Schoene was picked as an outfielder.
All eight players were also all-region selections in their respective classes. Steffen, Falter, Harker and Schoene were first-team all-region in Class 1 Region 2. Wilde, Beck and Dorton all made the Class 2 Region 3 first team and Gamm was a first-team selection in Class 3 Region 3.
The all-state teams are determined by a committee comprised of coaches from each class. Any all-region player is eligible to be named all-state.
In Class 3, sophomore catcher Payton Good of Osage was selected first-team all-region. Junior pitcher Skyler Smith, sophomore infielder Gracie Faulkner and senior utility player Leah Hart, all from Osage, were named to the second team.
Eldon also had a pair of players named to the Class 3 Region 3 team. Senior pitcher Brooklyn Bledsoe and senior outfielder Taylor Pehle were both placed on the second team.
Blair Oaks had a total of four players named to the Class 2 Region 3 team. Joining Wilde on the first team were sophomore outfielder Brooke Boessen and senior infielder Carli Buschjost, while junior Hannah Schroeder made the second team as a utility player.
Joining Beck on the all-region team from New Bloomfield were seniors Madison Love and Kate Baxter as second-team infielders.
Fatima senior Raegan Huhn (outfielder) and junior Macy Berhorst (pitcher) were first-team all-region and sophomore Ally Bonnot (infielder) was a second-team selection.
Linn's Hailey McKinn (catcher) also made the all-region first team. Lauren Kaullen was selected to the second team as a pitcher.
Eugene had three players selected to the all-region second team: Maddy Lepper (outfielder), Lexi Dickerson (pitcher) and Rachael Surface (catcher).
South Callaway also had a trio of players named to the all-region second team: Nicole Horstman (infielder), Haley Walters (outfielder) and Konnor Arrowood (pitcher).
Vienna led the area with six all-region players. In addition to having four players on the first team, junior catcher Bailey Wilkinson and junior infielder Corlis Kloeppel were selected to the second team in Class 1 Region 2.
Calvary Lutheran had four players on the all-region team in Class 1 Region 2. Sophomore pitcher Presley Welch, freshman infielder Abbie Klatt, sophomore Emma Homfeldt and sophomore utility player Haley Braun all made the second team.
St. Elizabeth had two players selected to the all-region second team: senior catcher Amber Struemph and freshman outfielder Gracie Cook.
The all-region teams are also selected by a committee of coaches.
