Anderson named MVP, Herigon POY in Tri-County Conference

The Tri-County Conference baseball champion Southern Boone Eagles had six players named all-conference, including Alex Anderson, who was named the Most Valuable Player this season.

The Eagles won the conference title with a 7-0 record, beating out Blair Oaks (5-2).

Three players represented Southern Boone on the first team: Dawson Cunningham, Colin Vaughan and Gannon Mueller.
Trevor Garriott earned second-team honors while Gage Schupp was named honorable mention.

Eagles coach Anthony Phillips was named conference Coach of the Year.

Blair Oaks also had six players earn all-conference honors.

Austin Herigon was named the Pitcher of the Year. Ryan Paschal and Jason Rackers earned a first-team nod.

Jordan Hair made the second team while Garrett Welschmeyer and Thomas Verslues were named honorable mentions.

Landon Mouse of California, and Andrew Rodriguez and Trenton Kidwell of Eldon also earned first-team honors.

Versailles had two make the second team: Brendan Owsley and Dylan Ballew.

Russell Williams of School of the Osage and Adam Neighbors of Eldon also earned second-team honors.

Four Pintos were named honorable mentions: Kory Stephens, Jacob Wolken, Cade Knipp and Hunter Heimericks.

Gavin Silkwood of Versailles was also an honorable mention.
