The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced 764 teams as recipients for the AVCA Team Academic Award on Monday.

The Helias Lady Crusaders were one of 260 high school girls volleyball teams across the country to receive the award for the 2015-16 season. It is the 13th consecutive year Helias has earned the academic honor.

The team award, which started in the 1992-93 season, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA.

The Missouri volleyball team was also one of 132 NCAA Division I teams to receive the AVCA Team Academic Award.
