A pair of Jefferson City Jays were selected to the All-USA Missouri Baseball Team, which was announced Thursday by USA TODAY.
Junior pitcher Jacob Weirich and junior shortstop Grant Wood made the first team.
The team includes 22 players, regardless of class.
Senior catcher Jake Matheney of Westminster Christian was selected as the player of the year.
Tony Perkins of Francis Howell earned coach of the year honors after leading the Vikings to a Class 5 state title against the Jays.
