KNOB NOSTER, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Falcons opened the season Saturday by taking fourth place at the Ray Stockdale Invitational.
Versailles won the team title, followed by host Knob Noster in second place and Holden in third place.
Blair Oaks had seven medalists and three wrestlers won individual titles. Two Falcons finished with 4-0 records - London Gaydos at 120 pounds and Dalton Bridges at 132. Bo Thomas went 3-0 to win his title at 138.
Kyler Griep went 2-1 to finish second at 145 and Paul Karsten also went 2-1 to take second place at 182.
Fourth-place finishers for Blair Oaks were Lucas Holtmeyer at 195 and Ben Thomas at 152. Both wrestlers were 2-2 in the tournament.
Blair Oaks will host a quad-dual Thursday against Hallsville, Versailles and Southern Boone.
