Lady Jays softball beats Rock Bridge

COLUMBIA - Trailing 2-0 heading into the seventh inning Wednesday, the Jefferson City softball team rallied to a 6-2 win at Rock Bridge.

The Lady Jays were able to plate six runs in the top of the seventh and held on for their first victory of the season.

Hannah Clardy hit a two-run single to give Jefferson City a 3-2 lead in the seventh. 

Mychael Jett went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI. 

Jett earned the win, allowing just one earned run and eight hits in seven innings. She struck out six and walked one. 

Alex Gilliland and Gabi McGinty each went 3-for-3. 

Jefferson City (1-1) hosts St. Elizabeth at 5:30 p.m. today at 63 Diamonds.
