Lincoln falls at Central Oklahoma in football

EDMOND, Okla. - The Lincoln Blue Tigers fell to 0-3 in conference play with a 63-0 defeat at Central Oklahoma on Saturday.

Lincoln fell behind 7-0 when Keats Calhoon completed a 42-yard touchdown pass at the 11:09 mark of the first quarter.

The Blue Tigers had a chance to cut the deficit to four late in the quarter, but a 40-yard field goal was off the mark to keep Lincoln off the scoreboard.

Lincoln made it to the Bronchos' 5-yard line in the third quarter, but Julius Sebastiano lost six yards on fourth-and-1.

Hosea Franklin led Lincoln with 73 yards on 18 rushing attempts.

Cody Alexander made a team-high nine tackles (seven solo).

Calhoon completed 17-of-20 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns.

Lincoln will host Emporia State next Saturday for another Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association contest.

Game time is 6 p.m. at Dwight T. Reed Stadium.
