Women's Golf: Jungmeyer leads Cougars

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Columbia College freshman Mikala Jungmeyer finished third overall in the individual standings, helping the Cougars to the team title at the Baker Spring Tournament held Monday and Tuesday at Eagle Bend Golf Course.

Jungmeyer (Russellville High School) shot a 17-over 161 in the two-day event, finishing four strokes behind co-champions Maria Mantilla and Kimberly Nelson, both of Grand View. Jungmeyer shot an 8-over 80 on Monday and followed with an 81 on Tuesday.

Columbia College scored a 658, finishing five strokes ahead of Grand View. The Cougars had four players finish in the top 10.

Columbia College will compete in the American Midwest Conference Championships on May 1-2 at Redfield Golf Club.
