MINNEOLA, Fla. - Rockhurst junior left fielder Payton Staggs had a team-high three hits Monday in the Hawks' 7-6 loss to Post in The Spring Games.
Staggs (Blair Oaks High School) put Rockhurst ahead 1-0 in the first inning with an RBI single. She added two more singles and scored a run later in the first to extend the lead to 3-0.
In 19 games this season, Staggs is second on the Hawks with a .394 batting average (26-for-66). She is tied for the team lead with 20 runs scored and has driven in 13 runs.
Rockhurst (11-8) opens Great Lakes Valley Conference play Saturday at Truman State.
