College Baseball: Missouri Valley junior Heckemeyer hitting streak reaches 11 games

MARSHALL, Mo. - Missouri Valley junior right fielder Brent Heckemeyer went 3-for-4 on Monday, leading the Vikings to a 7-2 win against Graceland.

Heckemeyer (Blair Oaks High School) hit three singles, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. He also scored three runs in the win.

During his hit streak, Heckemeyer is batting 19-for-42 (.452), improving his season batting average to .417, which is the highest on the team. He also has nine RBI, nine runs scored and six doubles this season.

Missouri Valley (7-7) plays a doubleheader Saturday at Baker.
