Women's Basketball: Martin records double-double vs. Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. - Southern Illinois junior forward Nicole Martin finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds Sunday in the Salukis' 58-53 overtime loss to Bradley.

Martin (Jefferson City High School) posted her third double-double this season, shooting 7-of-15 from the field and grabbing two steals. She scored all six Southern Illinois points during the overtime period and had two rebounds to get her double-double.

Through 16 games this season, Martin leads the Salukis with 15.3 points per game, which ranks seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference. She is also second on the team with 7.0 rebounds per contest and shoots 54.5 percent from the floor, which also rank sixth and second, respectively, in the league.

Southern Illinois (8-8, 1-4 MVC), which has lost its last four games, hosts Valparaiso on Friday.
