Women's Basketball: Brandt records double-double for Cougars

COLUMBIA - Columbia College senior guard Morgan Brandt led the Cougars to an 83-65 win last Tuesday against Park in American Midwest Conference play.

Brandt (Fatima High School) finished with a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds for Columbia College. She also had five steals and three assists in the win.

The double-double was the second this season for Brandt, and the 20th of her career.

Junior forward Mai Nienhueser (Helias High School) added six points for the Cougars.

Through 15 games, Brandt is second on the Cougars with 11.5 points per game and leads the team with an average of 8.7 rebounds. Nienhueser is fifth on the team with 9.5 points per game and is second behind Brandt with 4.6 rebounds per contest.

Columbia College (14-2, 9-2 AMC), ranked No. 2 in the NAIA, plays Tuesday at College of the Ozarks.
