Fife wins men's shot put at Missouri indoor track meet

COLUMBIA - Missouri redshirt senior Will Fife came away Friday with a win in the men's shot put in the Missouri Intercollegiate at the Hearnes Center.

Fife (Helias High School) posted a winning throw of 56 feet, 2 inches, to win by nearly three feet.

Fife is 2-for-2 in shot put titles during the indoor track and field season for the Tigers. In last month's home meet, he set a personal-best mark of 59-0.75.

Missouri sophomore Jason Edwards (School of the Osage High School) also came away with an event win Friday. Edwards finished first in the men's pole vault, clearing a height of 15-3.25, a personal record.

Edwards also placed fourth in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.00 seconds.

Missouri freshman Abby Hake (Helias High School) took eighth place in the women's mile run with a time of 5:36.74. Columbia College freshman Brianna Haller (Fatima High School) was seventh in the mile run, posting a time of 5:35.40.

Columbia College freshman Harrison Frank (Russellville High School) took second in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.98.

Halie Moeller (Fatima High School) ran in two events for Columbia College. She finished fourth in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.38 and placed 10th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.74 seconds.
