NORMAL, Ill. — Drake redshirt junior forward Sara Rhine finished with her sixth double-double of the season Sunday, leading the Bulldogs to an 82-64 win against Illinois State in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Rhine (Eldon High School) played just 22 minutes Sunday, but she finished with game highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds for Drake.
Making her fourth consecutive start, Rhine finished the game shooting 9-of-18 from the field — including 1-of-4 from 3-point range — and made all three of her free-throw attempts.
In Friday's 92-63 win against Bradley, Rhine had a double-double of 22 points and a season-high 14 rebounds, one shy of her career best.
Rhine leads the MVC in scoring with 19.0 points per game and is second in the conference with 8.6 rebounds per contest. She also tops the MVC with a 58.8 shooting percentage and has scored in double figures in all 14 games this season.
Drake (10-4, 2-0 MVC) hosts Loyola of Chicago on Thursday.
