LU softball finishes 0-4 in Charger Chillout

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Lincoln softball team went 0-4 in the Charger Chillout.

On Friday, the Blue Tigers fell 13-5 to Christian Brothers and 5-4 to Montevallo. On Saturday, Lincoln lost 12-0 in five innings to 11th-ranked Alabama-Huntsville and 4-3 to Miles College.

Rachael Balke collected three hits and four RBI against Christian Brothers. Jordan Lawson and Camryn Pryor each added two hits. Shannon Greene took the loss, allowing seven earned runs on eight hits in 3 innings.

Montevallo broke a tie at 4 with a run in the sixth and Lincoln stranded runners at second in third in the seventh.

Pryor had three of Lincoln's five hits and drove in two runs.

Hannah Hennessy went six innings in the circle for Lincoln, allowing five runs on four hits with four walks.

Greene took the loss against Alabama-Huntsville, giving up eight earned runs on 11 hits with two strikeouts in 2 innings.

Lawson, Gabi McGinty and Mykenzie Livesay each had two hits against Miles. Livesay drove in a pair of runs. Hennessy allowed three earned runs on eight hits with a strikeout.

Lincoln (0-6) will face Stephens College on Wednesday in Columbia. The doubleheader starts at 4 p.m.
