Lincoln basketball teams host Missouri Western tonight

The Lincoln Blue Tigers will be spending plenty of time in Jason Gym the rest of the regular season.

The Lincoln men are 15-5 overall, and their 8-3 conference record is tied for second in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association standings. Missouri Western (10-12, 4-7 MIAA) is in a three-way tie for ninth place in the conference.

The Blue Tigers are coming off back-to-back road wins in Kansas, beating Washburn 75-73 last Thursday and topping Emporia State 76-71 last Saturday. They have won 11 of their last 13 games.

The Lincoln women are still looking for their first win of 2019, trying to snap a nine-game losing skid that has dropped their overall record to 9-11. The Blue Tigers are last in the MIAA with a 1-10 record.

Missouri Western (10-10, 5-6 MIAA) made a last-second shot to beat Lincoln 62-61 in their previous meeting Dec. 8 at St. Joseph.
