Cross Country: Shea finishes runner-up

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Southeast Missouri senior Kaitlyn Shea had a second-place finish Friday, helping the Redhawks to a team title at the SIUE John Flamer Invitational.

Shea (Helias High School) posted a time of 18:18.70 in the women's 5K race, trailing teammate Sydney O'Brien by 13 seconds. The Redhawks posted 17 points in the team standings, having five of the top six individual finishes.

In the men's 8K race, senior Nick Yaeger (Blair Oaks High School) took 10th place for the Redhawks with a time of 29:06.40. Southeast Missouri was second in the team standings with 31 points.

Southeast Missouri runs again Sept. 29 in the Greater Louisville Classic.
