JOPLIN, Mo. - The Lincoln women's cross country team finished 34th on Saturday at the Missouri Southern Stampede.
Melissa Tyme led the Blue Tigers with a 206th-place finish out of 323 runners, posting a time of 20:54.00 in the women's 5K race. Danielle James finished 226th in 21:11.50.
For the rest of the Lincoln runners, Christine Moss was 316th in 24:38.60, Segale Brown followed in 217th in 24:42.50, Tajera Lawkin was 318th in 25:27.00 and Rusheda Blake took 320th in 25:43.20.
Missouri S&T senior Tori Bonnot (Jefferson City High School) recorded an 82nd-place finish with a time of 19:26.40, helping the Miners to a 10th-place finish in the team standings.
Missouri State sophomore Lindsey Biesemeyer (Jefferson City High School) was 163rd in 20:20.70, while freshman Emily Yaeger (Blair Oaks High School) came in 218th in 21:03.60. The Bears finished runner-up to Tulsa in the team standings.
Missouri Southern junior Gabriel Hill (School of the Osage High School) took 230th in 21:19.30 for the host Lions, who finished ninth as a team.
In the men's 8K race, Tulsa redshirt freshman Jackson Schwartz (Jefferson City High School) finished 83rd out of 277 runners with a time of 27:23.00. Tulsa won the men's title with 59 points.
Drury sophomore Brendan Bena (Jefferson City High School) was 151st in 28:27.20, helping the Panthers to a 20th-place finish as a team.
