AMES, Iowa - Bradley senior outside hitter Erica Haslag recorded a season-high 29 kills Thursday in the Braves' 26-24, 21-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-13 win against Bowling Green in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.
Bradley fell behind 2-1 but was able to force a fifth set. Haslag (Helias High School) had seven kills in the fifth set - the last breaking a 13-all tie - to help secure the win.
For the season, Haslag now has 530 kills, matching her season total from 2017 and increasing her career total to 1,675, which is 10th in Missouri Valley Conference history. She is now tied for sixth in NCAA Division I in kills this season.
Bradley (24-8) will play Drake/Iowa State in the NIVC second round at 6:30 p.m. today.
