LAS VEGAS - Southern Illinois junior forward Nicole Martin scored a season-high 21 points last Friday in the Salukis' 72-50 win against Hartford at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout.
Martin (Jefferson City High School) shot 8-of-12 from the field and finished 5-of-6 from the free-throw line in the win. She also gabbed five rebounds while playing just 13 minutes.
Through six games this season, Martin leads the Salukis in scoring with 15.5 points per game while shooting 58.5 percent from the field. She also averages 6.0 rebounds.
Southern Illinois (3-3) plays Thursday at Saint Louis.
