Lincoln falls 59-3 at Tarleton State

STEPHENVILLE, Texas - The Lincoln Blue Tigers were outgained by more than 500 yards Saturday in a 59-3 loss at No. 8 Tarleton State.

Lincoln tallied 50 total yards of offense, while the Texans finished with 552.

Tarleton State rushed for 398 yards and had three 100-yard rushers. Xavier Turner led the way with 128 yards, while Adam Berryman and Daniel McCants finished with 114 and 107, respectively. Turner and Berryman each had three rushing scores.

The Texans scored 14 points in the first quarter and led 38-0 at halftime. McCants scored on a 7-yard run early in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 59-0.

Fernando Ramirez tallied Lincoln's only points with a 22-yard field goal with 5:45 to play.

Henry Ogala competed 7-of-18 passes for 35 yards and one interception for the Blue Tigers. Antonio Isaac caught two of those passes for 16 yards.

Lincoln punter Wolky Belancourt led the team in rushing with one carry for 8 yards. The Blue Tigers finished with 27 carries for 15 net yards.

Edwin Durassaint led the Blue Tigers' defense with 15 tackles.

Lincoln (3-7) will wrap up the regular season next Saturday against McKendree at Dwight T. Reed Stadium. Kickoff is at noon.
