Lincoln women take third in NCAA Division II Indoor track

PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Lincoln women's track and field team finished third in the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships that concluded Saturday.

Lincoln finished with 36 team points. West Texas A&M was first with 53 points, while Western State was second with 40.

The Blue Tigers placed third or better in all five events in which they qualified.

Diana Cauldwell was second in the triple jump (42-feet) and third in the long jump (20-2). Rene Medley was second in the 60-meter dash (7.39) and third in the 200-meter dash (24.05). Renea Ambersley was second in the 400-meter dash (54.58).

The Lincoln men were 14th as a team with 18 points, highlighted by Sedeekie Edie's national title in the log jump Friday. Edie was second in the triple jump (25-5) on Saturday.
