CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois sophomore Nicole Martin scored a game-high 15 points Saturday in the Salukis' 66-41 win against Evansville in the regular-season finale.
Martin (Jefferson City High School) shot 6-of-10 from the floor and added seven rebounds and three assists in the win. Heading into the postseason, Martin leads the Salukis with 12.0 points per game and is second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game.
Southern Illinois (16-13), the No. 4 seed in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, will play fifth-seeded Indiana State on Friday in Moline, Ill.
