Renegades fall to Mustangs, A's

CLARINDA, Iowa - The Jefferson City Renegades dropped a pair of MINK League games Wednesday.

The Renegades fell 13-1 to the St. Joseph Mustangs in their first game.

The Renegades got on the board first in the bottom of the third inning when Tommy Ruether drove in Caden Diel. Diel and David Dell each had two of the Renegades' six hits.

The Mustangs then tied it with a run in the fifth, then added five runs in the sixth and seven in the seventh. St. Joseph finished with 18 hits in the game off four Jefferson City pitchers.

The Renegades were supposed to host the Mustangs at Vivion Field, but the game was moved to Clarinda to allow Jefferson City to make up a game against the A's that was rained out last Friday.

In the second game, Clarinda defeated Jefferson City 7-3. No game details were available.

The Renegades (9-12) are off today before playing Friday at Joplin and Saturday at Nevada. Both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
