Jones earns MINK League Player of the Week award

Quincy Jones of the Jefferson City Renegades was named the co-MINK League Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Jones is among the leaders in several statistical categories eight games into the season. He's batting .457 (second) with 16 hits (third), six doubles (first) and 16 RBI (first).

Sharing the weekly honor is Gaven Strobel of the Chillicothe Mudcats and Isaac Alexander of the Clarinda A's.

Strobel, a former Jefferson City Jay, is batting .360 with three doubles and five RBI in eight games.

Alexander is leading the A's in batting average (.378) and RBI (14) in 10 games this season.
