Bickel to lead Lincoln women's golf team

Randy Bickel is moving up to the college coaching level after spending the past 15 years as the head golf coach at Jefferson City.

Bickel will now lead the Lincoln women's golf team, the school announced Tuesday.

In 14 of his 15 years at Jefferson City, Bickel had at least one player advance to the state tournament. In 2007, Bickel coached the Jays to a fourth-place finish in the state.

Since 2013, Bickel has worked as the manager of Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, and from 2006-11, he served as the Junior Golf Director for the Missouri Golf Association.

Bickel played football and golf at the University of Central Missouri for a year before an injury ended his career. He later transferred to Lincoln and earned a bachelor's degree of science in marketing in 1983.
