Hudson selected as MINK player of the month

It's a rare occurrence when Logan Hudson isn't on base.

Hudson, a leadoff batter and infielder for the Jefferson City Renegades, hit .400 with 17 RBI and a pair of home runs in June to earn MINK League Player of the Month honors.

Out of the 22 games Hudson played in during the month, he reached base in 19 of them. He had nine multi-hit games during that stretch, including going 4-for-4 with a walk and three RBI in an 11-7 win against the Ozark Generals on June 15.

For the season, Hudson leads the league with a .386 batting average, and is second in walks (21) and on-base percentage (.522).

The Renegades went 12-8 in league play during the month to keep them in contention for the South Division lead.

The league also announced Peyton Warren of the Nevada Griffons as the Pitcher of the Month.

Warren went 3-1 with a 2.17 ERA during the month. He struck out 23 and allowed seven earned runs in 21 innings.
