TISHOMINGO, Okla. - North Arkansas freshman Kamari Balton had 17 points to go with a team-high 13 assists Saturday in the Pioneers' 100-90 loss against Murray State College.
Two days earlier, Balton (Jefferson City High School) led the Pioneers to a 103-90 win against Link Year Prep. In the win, Balton posted a team-high 24 points to go with eight assists, seven rebounds and five steals.
Through 27 games, Balton ranks 15th in NJCAA Division II with 21.2 points per game. He also ranks fourth in the nation with 7.2 assists per game.
North Arkansas (19-8) plays today against Central Baptist's JV team.
