The Lincoln Blue Tigers will look to rebound from their first loss of the season today when they host William Jewell in women's non-conference basketball action at Jason Gym.

Lincoln (7-1) dropped a 62-61 decision last Saturday at Missouri Western in MIAA competition. It's the first 7-1 start for the Blue Tiger women since the 2011-12 season. Lincoln won nine of its first 10 games that season.

The Blue Tigers are 4-0 at home this season. A win today would be Lincoln's longest win streak at Jason Gym since the 2002-03 season.

Zoi Thompson paces the Blue Tigers with 18.7 points and 5.7 assists per game. Zhanesha Dickerson has double-doubles in six of Lincoln's last seven games and is averaging 18.5 points and 10.1 rebounds.

Lincoln is allowing just 51.0 points per game to its opponents, seventh-best in Division II.

William Jewell (5-4) will bring a three-game winning streak into the 5 p.m. game, including a 59-58 victory against Avila on Monday.

The Cardinals are led by Antoinette Mussorici at 11.8 points per game and Kayla Harrell at 10.4 per contest.

This is just the second meeting in women's basketball between the Blue Tigers and the Cardinals. William Jewell posted an 86-70 victory against Lincoln in the 2013-14 season.
