College Softball: Bunch hits fourth homer

TULSA, Okla. - Northern Iowa junior shortstop Sammey Bunch hit a two-run home run last Friday in the Panthers' 10-4 win against Tulsa in the OSU/TU Invitational.

Bunch (Fatima High School) put the Panthers ahead 2-0 in the first inning with her fourth homer of the season.

She finished 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring three runs in the win.

Through 14 games this season, Bunch is batting .400 (16-for-40) with 19 runs scored, 12 RBI and seven stolen bases. She also has three doubles and two triples for an .875 slugging percentage.

Northern Iowa (7-7) will begin play Friday in the Racer Classic at Murray State.
