Men's Basketball: Balton scores 38 points

HARRISON, Ark. - North Arkansas freshman guard Kamari Balton finished with a career-high 38 points Saturday in the Pioneers' 127-105 win against MCC-Penn Valley.

Balton (Jefferson City High School) shot 11-of-22 from the floor, making four 3-pointers, and was also 12-of-13 at the free-throw line. He added a team-high nine assists to go with five rebounds in the win.

Balton has scored 30 points or more in three straight games.

Through eight games this season, Balton leads the Pioneers with 22.6 points and 6.5 assists per game. He is third on the team with 5.3 rebounds per contest.

North Arkansas (7-1) play on the road today against the Crowley's Ridge College JV team.
