College Track: Scrivner named All-American at NAIA Championships

GULF SHORES, Ala. - William Woods junior Madelyn Scrivner gave their Owls their first All-American of the NAIA Track and Field National Championship, finishing in seventh place in the women's hammer throw Thursday.

Scrivner (Eldon High School), who was seeded eighth entering the event, posted a top throw of 172 feet, 0.75 inches on her fifth attempt.

This was Scrivner's second appearance at the national championships and the first time she has received All-American status. Earlier this season during the indoor national championships, Scrivner finished 15th in the weight throw.
