College Softball: Campbell tallies five RBI

FULTON - William Woods senior Hannah Campbell went 4-for-5 last Tuesday in the Owls' 22-1 win against Stephens College in American Midwest Conference play.

Campbell (Russellville High School) finished a double shy of the cycle, collecting two singles, a triple and grand slam in the bottom of the first inning to make the score 10-1.

In 31 games this season, Campbell is batting .415 (44-for-106) with 31 runs scored, 16 RBI and 15 stolen bases.

Senior Brailee Schulte (Jefferson City High School) went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored in the win. She is batting .298 (28-for-94) this season with 22 RBI.

Senior Hillary Hentges and freshman Regan Wilde each came off the bench to have multi-hit games as well. Hentges (Helias High School) went 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored, while Wilde (St. Elizabeth High School) was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, two RBI and her first collegiate home run, a two-run blast in the third inning to make the score 15-1.

Hentges is batting .269 (18-for-67) with four home runs and Wilde is hitting .429 (3-for-7) in four games played.

William Woods (18-13, 4-4 AMC) will host Hannibal-LaGrange in a conference doubleheader Tuesday.
