Lincoln softball swept by Drury

The Lincoln softball team dropped a pair of games to Drury, losing 3-0 and 8-1 on Tuesday at LU Softball Field.

The Blue Tigers were held to four hits in each game. Macie Kinsey had Lincoln's only extra-base hit in the first contest, a double in the fourth inning.

Madison Ragar was the losing pitcher, allowing three runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts in a complete-game effort.

Maci Marshall recorded the only RBI of the day for the Blue Tigers in the second game, hitting a double to score Jordan Lawson in the fifth inning.

Lawson went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple.

Sarah Westhoff took the loss, allowing five runs on nine hits in 42/3 innings. She also walked two and struck out three.

Lincoln (2-18) will host William Jewell in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
