EMPORIA, Kan. - Missouri Southern junior Allie Heckemeyer won the women's triple jump in the Lions' outdoor opener Friday at the Emporia State Spring Invite.
Heckemeyer (St. Elizabeth High School) posted a jump of 39 feet, 1.75 inches, winning the event by nearly a foot. That mark is an NCAA Division II national championship provisional mark.
Heckemeyer also finished ninth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.33 seconds.
