SPRINGFIELD - Northern Iowa freshman Sammey Bunch collected one hit in each of the Panthers' games Saturday against Missouri State in Missouri Valley Conference action.
Bunch (Fatima High School) went 1-for-3 with a double in the first game, a 6-0 loss. She also went 1-for-3 with a single, a sacrifice fly and a stolen base in game two, a 6-2 win.
Bunch's batting average has climbed from .171 to .288 during her 11-game hit streak, which ended Sunday when she went 0-for-3 in the Panthers' 3-2 win in eight innings against the Bears.
Northern Iowa (14-11) will play Saturday at Indiana State.
