Renegades wrap up regular season against Ozark

The Jefferson City Renegades split a doubleheader Monday to conclude their first regular season in the MINK League. The Ozark General won game one 10-7, but Jefferson City responded with a 9-1 victory in the nightcap at Vivion Field.

Ozark scored nine runs total in the third and fourth innings in game one to overcome an early 3-0 deficit against the Renegades. Hunter Southerland homered for Jefferson City and Mike Million drove in three runs.

The Renegades overcame a 1-0 deficit in game two, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first and adding three more in the fourth. Kylan Easley was the winning pitcher, striking out four batters in five innings.

Southerland hit another homer and finished with three RBI.

Jefferson City (17-25) will go on the road Wednesday to play at Nevada in the wild-card playoffs. The winner of that game will play Thursday at Ozark for the South Division championship.
