LORMAN, Miss. - Southeast Missouri junior Riley Hayes hit her first home run of the season Saturday in the Redhawks' 8-0 win at Alcorn State.
Hayes (Jefferson City High School) belted her solo home run in the fourth inning to extend Southeast Missouri's lead to 6-0. The Redhawks catcher is batting .267 with three runs scored in six games.
Southeast Missouri (8-2) plays Missouri State and UMKC on Saturday at Kansas City in the We Back Pat Tournament.
