COLUMBIA - John Karsten of Missouri S&T finished second in the men's shot put this weekend at the Missouri Collegiate Invitational at the Hearnes Center.
Karsten (Blair Oaks High School) recorded a throw of 50-feet, eight inches in the event.
Missouri S&T assistant coach Brent Vogel took first place in the 600-meter dash at the Invitational. Vogel (Helias High School) finished with a time of 1:22.30.
Missouri S&T is back in action next weekend in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Championships at Indianapolis.
