College Track: Lincoln at two meets

The Lincoln Blue Tigers men's and women's indoor teams wrapped up the regular season at a pair of meets.

On the women's side, Lincoln took first in the 4x400-meter relay at the Nebraska Tune-Up in Lincoln, Neb. The foursome of Willomena Williams, Renea Amberslea, Kissi-Ann Brown and Shanice Clarke won in 3:45.64.

Danielle James of Lincoln was seventh in the 800-meter run at the meet (2:19.61).

Two Lincoln men ran at the Tune-Up. Jeromia Riley (1:43.37) was second in the 800-meter run, while Kevon Robinson (1:55:29) was fifth.

Lincoln also competed in the UCM Classic in Warrensburg.

Eketa Roberts of Lincoln was first in the women's 200-meter dash (26.35) and third in the 400 (1:01.18). Teammate Tajera Lawkin was fifth in the 200 (28.22) and sixth in the 400 (1:03.96). She also was fourth in the triple jump (10.19 meters). Ja'lanna Williams was third in the 600-yard dash (1:30.89).

On the men's side, Lincoln took the top four spots in the 60-meter dash. Roberto Smith was first (6.844), edging Stephen Rose (6.8467). Jakiel David was third (6.93) and Oshane Hylton was fourth (7.00).

Roger Blake was first in the 200 (22.23), while David was fourth (22.70) and Nicholas Khouri was fifth (22.79).

Darran Hunter was first in the 60-meter hurdles (8.01) and Miguel Barton took the title in the 400 (49.92).

Alexander Templeton finished second for Lincoln in the high jump (2.01 meters), while Romario Foote was third in the mile (4:42.81).

Lincoln will be back in action Saturday and Sunday at the MIAA Indoor Championships in Joplin.
