Missouri women win at Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Missouri Tigers overcame a slow start at the Florida Gators to pull off a 74-67 win Thursday.

Florida led 15-11 after the first quarter, but Missouri led 35-26 at halftime. Florida used a 29-point third quarter to get a 55-53 lead after the third.

Sophie Cunningham led the Tigers with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Sierra Michaelis had 15 points, and Cierra Porter and Lindsey Cunningham each had 10.

Missouri shot 95 percent from the free throw line. The Tigers are 6-0 against the Gators since joining the Southeastern Conference in the 2012-13 season.

Missouri (18-9, 8-5 Southeastern Conference) hosts South Carolina (21-3, 11-1 SEC) at 2 p.m. Sunday.
