College Softball: Campbell leads Owls at Cowtown Classic

FORT WORTH, Texas - William Woods senior Hannah Campbell compiled a .556 batting average (10-for-18) in the Owls' five games to open the season Friday and Saturday at the Cowtown Classic.

Campbell (Russellville High School) collected at least one hit in each game and went 3-for-4 in back-to-back games, a 7-4 loss to Doane and a 4-3 win against Bellevue. She also collected an RBI single in an 8-0 win against York in the season opener Friday.

Brailee Schulte (Jefferson City High School) have five hits at the Cowtown Classic, including a pair of two-hit games. She also drove in three runs and scored twice.

Hillary Hentges (Helias High School) collected four hits in five games for the Owls, including an RBI single in a 3-1 win Friday against William Penn.

William Woods (3-2) will host Briar Cliff on Saturday.
