CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois sophomore forward Nicole Martin scored a team-high 16 points Thursday to lead the Salukis to a 60-50 win against Martin Methodist.
Martin (Jefferson City High School) shot 6-of-11 from the field and also had a team-high eight rebounds in thew in.
Through nine games, Martin is second on the Salukis with 11.4 points per game. She is tied for the team lead with 7.1 rebounds per game.
Southern Illinois (5-4) plays Albany next Tuesday at Puerto Rico in the San Juan Tournament.
