Lincoln men, women compete at MIAA golf tourneys

SPRING HILL, Kan. - Lincoln teammates Deaven Vincent and Gabe Trowbridge tied for 30th as the team finished 10th in the MIAA Men's Golf Championships at Sycamore Ridge Golf Club.

Central Oklahoma took the team title with a team score of 884. Washburn was second with an 887, Lindenwood placed third at 890 and Central Missouri finished fourth with 894 strokes. The Blue Tigers shot a 1,178 as a team.

Vincent was consistent in the three rounds, shooting a 79 on Monday, 76 on Tuesday and 77 on Wednesday. Trowbridge finished strong with a 74 on Wednesday after shooting 80 and 78 in the first two rounds.

Logan Taylor tied for 38th with a three-round total of 237. Blake Lammers shot 238 for a tie for 41st, while Drew Geritz tied for 45th with a 239.

KANSAS CITY - The Lincoln Blue Tigers finished 10th in the MIAA Women's Golf Championships that concluded Tuesday at Swope Memorial Golf Course.

The Blue Tigers finished the three-day tournament with a total of 1,235.

Rylee Glenn led Lincoln individuals, tying for 43rd with a 299. 

Hanna Berendzen (306), Dominique Lee (307), Madison Oliver (333) and Chelsea Vinson (346) finished 47th-50th for the Blue Tigers.

Northeastern State took conference honors with a 956. Lindenwood was second with a 981, while Central Oklahoma was third at 985.

Dakota Limkemann of Lindenwood led individual finishers with a 15-over 231.
